Tomasina Joan Davis passed away peacefully Sunday morning July 18, 2010 having survived pancreatic cancer for 3 & ½ years. Tomasina was born May 28, 1932 in Goshen, Indiana to Thomas and Hazel Wilfret who predeceased her. Her brother Bill Wilfret, Merritt Island, FL passed away April 12th, 2007.Tomasina and her family moved to Farmers Branch in 1965 and she lived in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area since. She worked for Montgomery Ward for many years and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company of North Texas, after 25 years.Tomi, as she was known, is survived by her husband of 33 years John Howard Davis of Carrollton, her sons Jon C Sunthimer II (Connie) of Windham, New Hampshire, Stephen M Sunthimer of Little Elm, daughter Cynthia R Sunthimer of Coppell and step sons Keith Davis (Becky) of Woodstock Georgia, John Eric Davis (Rose) of Houston, TX and step daughter Shawn Copeland (Daryl) of Plano. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. Tomi was an avid Cowboy fan. She enjoyed hosting cowboy games, birthdays and holidays and was known for the ”spread” she put on. The family plans to hold a private memorial Saturday July 24th. Cards may be sent to family @ 1817 Rock Spring Ct Carrollton, TX 75007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
